The Museum will be open for all 30 cruise ships this year, even outside our normal business hours! Open times are determined by the peak times ships are in port and to accommodate all scheduled tour groups.

First Friday Artwalk Exhibit Opening: Friday, October 2nd, 5:00pm-7:00pm

Kodiak Pride and the Kodiak History Museum (KHM) are excited to announce the opening of a new exhibit – Out on the Rock: Kodiak Queer History celebrates and explores Kodiak’s queer community and history. Food and activities will be provided. Free and open to the public.

National Coming Out Day Storytelling: Sunday, October 11th, 12:30-1:30pm

In conjunction with the current temporary exhibit, Kodiak Pride and KHM are hosting a National Coming Out Day Storytelling Event on Sunday, October 11th, from 12:30-1:30pm. Visitors are welcome to share their stories at this event, but sharing is not required. This event is free and open to the public, but a completed registration form is required. Call For Photography: Deadline Friday, January 15th, 5:00pm

KHM and JoAnne Knight are excited to announce a new project – Kodiak, Through Our Eyes: A Community Photography Exhibition. Kodiak, Through Our Eyes is a juried exhibition guest curated by Knight. It will debut in March 2027. Knight is currently seeking submissions from Kodiak Island residents who wish to be a part of the show.
