"I love hiking and gardening, and purple Siberian Irises mean summertime in Alaska! The rich purple color is unbelievable. As they are quick to bloom and quick to fade, each year I race to sketch and paint our local iris, whether along a trail or hidden in my garden."
Natasha lives on Kodiak Island in the Gulf of Alaska. "I can't escape Alaska's influence on my work: coastal Alaska can be gray and green for long periods of time, but when it's sunny and bright here, it's unlike any place on earth! I delight in capturing those sudden moments in my work so that my art brings a happy burst of color to people's lives."
