Sarah Loewen grew up in Alaska, married a fisherman, and built a cabin on Amook Island where she spends every summer with her two boys, their baby sister, and two dogs–commercial fishing for salmon, eating a lot of salmon, and writing whenever she can. In the winter, she teaches at the college in Kodiak, a small town on a big island in the Gulf of Alaska.
Natasha lives on Kodiak Island in the Gulf of Alaska. "I can't escape Alaska's influence on my work: coastal Alaska can be gray and green for long periods of time, but when it's sunny and bright here, it's unlike any place on earth! I delight in capturing those sudden moments in my work so that my art brings a happy burst of color to people's lives."
