Susan Baker moved to Alaska over forty years ago from Oregon, where she took classes at Clackamas & Portland Community Colleges, and made pots for her mom and friends. She continued that trend in Kodiak, taking classes at Kodiak Community College taught by Elana White, Karen Anderson, Tim Southworth, Mary Jane Longrich and Paul Dungan. She continues to improve her skills each year, even after 15 years in business. Her goal is to achieve the ability to make pottery that is functional, and that carries her personal design touches.
